Granny.....Rounds?

For some reason, whenever the temperatures warm,my love of knitting slightly dampers, and I get the greatest urge to crochet(is this just me,or do the rest of you have different crafts you like to do at different times of the year?)
Well, unfortunately this "urge" has left 3 unfinished knitting projects in its wake.
But,I just HAD to stop everything and teach myself how to make Granny Squares(yes, thats correct ladies,no one ever taught me how to make Granny Squares)
Since my decision,I have been wondering what in the world I was thinking!
I think I must have a brain blockage, because no matter what website I look at,or book I read,or video I watch, all my Granny Squares turn into large yarn doilys.
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!?!?

Talkin' Tractor

I have learned a whole new language in the 2 years I have been married.

Tractor Talk.

I must admit, the words that come out of mouth truly shock me sometimes.

For example: Manly will come home from a long day of work and the following conversation will happen:

Me: "Hey,Good Lookin',how did your day go?"

Manly: "Oh,it wasn't that great, the tractor broke down"

Me: Oh,no! Which one? the Magnum, or the TN75D or the TL80?"

Manly:" Oh,the 80"

Me:"Well, shoot, was it that silly lift arm again?"

Really?

I can't believe that I know this whole "secret" language,
not only know it, but can speak it fluently!

A Yummy (and quick) Supper

Creamy Pasta Primavera

2 cups uncooked spiral pasta
1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed and washed
3 medium carrots,cut in strips
about a tablespoon olive oil
2 cups cherry tomatoes,halved
2 garlic cloves,minced
1/2 fresh,grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon pepper

(This is a vegetarian dish,or side dish,I added diced cooked chicken breast to it and served it as a main dish(and also because my Manly has a thing about going without meat for one meal;)

Cook pasta till el dente.
In large skillet, saute asparagus and carrots in oil til tender yet still slightly crisp.
Add tomatoes and garlic;cook one minute, then stir in cheese, cream and pepper;then add cooked/drained pasta, stir and serve. Makes about 4-5 servings.(depending how hungry your fella is;)
Such a yummy spring dish!
