I have been absent from the blogging world for a time, and I am sorry.
However, about ten days ago, I received the most shocking and disheartening news.
A very dear friend of mine was taken quickly away from our world in a accident.
I was blown away.
She was more then a co-worker and a friend, she was a mentor as well.
She just one of those ladies, who had a giant heart and always had the answers and just was always there.
I don't know what else to say, dear ones, this is still a blow to me, so I will simply move on to another subject...
Bus rides, layovers in bus stations and other such things did leave time for the healing act of knitting...and Boy Howdy am I knitting!
These are a pair of Moss Stitch Cable Socks (this is the class I took recently)I have started...
Someone has offered to pay me to make them pairs of socks out of these
yarns...
And of course, that just simply wasn't enough, so
I had to start to make my first pair of mittens...
And with time and yarn, I will heal...
Also, with Kitties like Edie Lou its hard to be sad for too long,
she just knows exactly where to hide and pounce out at the right time to bring a smile to my face.
Yesterday morning I went in the bedroom to get a pair of socks and this is what I found....
My friends, you are dear to my heart.
I will not go away for so long this time.

I'm so so sorry for your loss...
