~Baling Hay While the Sun Shines~

Per request here are some pictures of the baler and tractor and of the one ton square bales that come out of the baler.

(A Big Thank you to Manly who I called and said "Hey, Babe some of the gals want to see what the bales and baler looks like, can you take some pics with your phone?" which he simply replied "Yup" , he truly is my hero:)

Manly finished this field just a few hours ago, he has not slept for over two days now.

Summer Storm

Some pics of a Thunderstorm we had recently at sunset.

I tried to get pictures of the lightening, but that was about as rewarding as chasing the wind.

We have more storms like this in the forecast and Manly has been up all night baling hay while the weather is good.

~The Country Bath~

This post will be mainly pics.
Because, I simply don't know what to say about these bathrooms.
I can not choose which one I like best!
So, unless our future farmhouse is going to have like 8 bathrooms, I might have to choose at some point, but for right now....I can just love them all.



I simply adore this tub, and how its sits by the cheery window!

I have to admit..I mainly choose this one because I love frilly shower curtains;)

Lard=Happiness

Well, I can not speak for these joyous people,but I know lard makes me happy.

Lard really gets a bad rap.

We are a butter not margarine, a olive oil not vegetable oil and lard not shortening family.

I am not quite sure why people became frightened of lard, but they shouldn't be, it makes your biscuits flakier and your pie crust lighter and richer.

And if you are worried about your weight or cholesterol then simply don't eat it 3 times a day everyday.

There, I will get off my soap box now.....maybe I should promote soap boxes next....you certainly don't see them around anymore do you?

~Under the Stars~

I love camping.
And now that its summer time, maybe some of you have camping in your plans.
If so, maybe you would like to camp in style this year...

These two are my favorite, so sweet!

I would love to camp like one of these,however I will just be happy to go in our drab little nylon tent if we even get a chance to get away this summer.

Till then I will be dreaming about sleeping under the stars.....
