~ Do you Knook ? ~

This is a question that was posed to me in the middle of a craft store.
I believe I looked at the woman who asked me like she just asked me what color my belly button fuzz was....
I figured it was some sort of slang word the young kids were using nowadays for some unmentionable thing.
I pushed the incident away and avoided the craft shop for awhile.
Until the other day when I opened up a new craft catalog that I had just received in the mail and they had a whole section for Knooking.
So, an immediate google search was needed to see what all the fuss was about and I have to say I am intrigued.

Apparently, its like a cross between knitting and crocheting and No, it is not Tunisian.
So, my question for you is...Do YOU Knook?

(For more information on Knooking visit one of these two blogs or just google it like I did:)

  4. I knook and love it. I even make my own hooks it is simple to do with a drill and bit. I learned to crochet in my teen years then about a couple of years ago I taught myself how to knit and finally learned to read patterns in the process. Then the knook came along and I had to try it. I have done a few things with the knook and some I have talked to think I am their forum guru on the subject. I started my threads on Knitting Pradise because I wanted others to see that you could get a knitted project using a crochet hook. So as far as knooking goes I watched several tutorials and learned how to do the garter st scarf and then started a lace project which is still a wip I am working on a handle for a frying pan using both knit and crochet. So yes I do knook.
