Remember Christmas time when you were a kid.
Oh, my goodness.
This countdown...5 more days!
Remember the thrill?
The noses pressed to the window, wondering if it was too much to hope if it would snow on Christmas
Somewhere along the way of growing up, I think we lose some of that thrill and excitement.
I always get a little disappointed during this time of year, because it does not feel
like it used too.
But, who's fault is that?
When we were a child everyone else was bustling around and we were kids, who were just in the way, so we would play outside in the cold and then come in for cocoa and cookies.
I want to stop bustling for a bit to remember the thrill of the lights shining, to get excited about wrapping paper and bows. To press my nose against the window (to the neighbors dismay) and watch snowflakes fall.
To remember the magic of the season.
If there is any time of year to act child-like in faith and wonder, shouldn't it be this time of year?
