Okay, so, I promised a reveal of the projects that have been going on around here
Well, I will show you the real big one that took a pickup load of lumber and both Manly and I to make....
(the above photo is not mine it is borrowed from a lumber website...but since I was a total ditz and forgot to take any pics until the project of 3/4 over, this is what it all started like...well, actually I guess it all started as a tree to be exact...but I spose you all know what trees look like...)

Have you figured it out?
Okay, Well, Manly and I bought a new mattress, and its a different size than our old bed...so we were bed shopping and looking at the outrageous prices and poorly made beds, AND on top of it all, none of them we really even liked.
So, My Manly, being the very Manly Man that he is, proclaimed "We can make our own bed and it will be better than any of these!"
I must admit there was was some doubt in my mind... first of all, he said "we" and my expertise with putting stick-y things together with nails and screws is like totally zip.
Second of all, I immediately pictured a bed made out of old car parts and needed to be welded together.
But, I trusted my Dear Hubby, he went bed plan searching and found a plan for a bed that was called The Farmhouse Bed....yeah, sounds like its kinda up my alley(or old dirt road:)
I started getting pretty excited.
We went to our local lumber/hardware/general store and bought lumber and picked out paint and went into our shop and started making our very own bed!
When its Tea Time, its Tea Time, so shut off the sander and enjoy a wee cuppa!

Here is the Foot board after we attached it to the frame of the bed.

Here is the Foot board, all finished and painted!

Here it is,Ladies and Gents! All Finished and Kitty Approved:)

Now, I mentioned that there was projects being done on the Sewing Machine too...
Well, thats very ambitious projects at hand, including throw pillows (I made the throw pillows pictured on the bed above:) curtains for two different rooms and a few other projects.
My yarn and needles are getting very jealous of all the time I am spending with that "machine".
Anywho, there you go!
Hope you all have an awesome Monday:)
