A Little Sink Love
Sinks.
I love sinks.
I can love a kitchen simply for its sink.
Big,roomy sinks.
I think they used to make bigger sinks because you actually might have to wash your head or some clothes in the sink.
I love these sinks with the backs...you know what I mean?
What do they call these sinks with backs???
Here is modern version of a farmhouse sink...I usually prefer a more retro sink, however if I were to buy a brand new sink it would be like one of these.
Another one of those sinks with backs...I think these are my favorite.
A farmhouse sink.and a truly awesome window.
Another back sink...
I like these longer sinks...look at all that room!
Apparently, I am having a thing for open shelving in kitchens too.
Hope you all have super duper weekend!

~ Life ~
Life.
Has been...Crazy.
Winter Wheat is up inches and our peas are just starting to peek out the the ground.
But, we also have been having unseasonably warm temperatures.
Like 90 during the day and only going down to 70 at night....for my California friends, I know you think I am a huge whiner.
But, we just don't see weather like this for a couple more months.
We are usually still wearing sweaters and turning up the heat at this time.
Not going swimming in the lake, like we did on our Sunday afternoon picnic.
Most farmers do not even have water in their canals to start irrigating yet.
This craziness and hot temps have left me with a feeling I normally don't start feeling till late June or July...running away to the mountains/woods and camping....
Which would certainly be a cool down since there is still huge amounts of snow up there.
But, my introvert mind is being stubborn about this and is continuing to whisper..."Come on...you know you want to go camping...You know you just want to escape from it all..."
So, I am hoping this blog post will perhaps shut it up for a bit.
or it could possibly make it worse....
I mean, sleeping in the woods just sounds divine...
And look at these happy folks, and the perfect coiffured wife, not a hair out of place, her tight white sweater doesn't have a single smudge of dirt or bacon grease splatter. She is just gleeful.
To stop and only hear your own breathing, not tractors scrambling and machinery.
To hang my laundry in air that isn't laden with field chemicals and dust everywhere.
Okay, so I am whining.
WaaaWaaa, its hot, WaaWaaaaa, its dusty!
Waaaaa, Its noisy.
Its okay to tell me to get over myself....
But, I might not hear you...I might be running away to the mountains:)
Happy Tuesday, Friends!

A Conversation with a Teenage Kitten....
Edie: "Here Birdy...come over here (purrr) I wont hurt you...Just come on over..."

Me: "Edith Louise! What ARE you doing!?"
Edie: "EEEeekkkk! Holy Mouse Tails, Mom, what are you creeping up on me for!"

Me: Well, what were you doing, young lady!?"
Edie: "Golly, Mom, what are you like a cop or something?" (*snicker, tail twitch*)

Me: "Don't you get snotty with me, now what were you doing?"
Edie: "Gosh, I was just itching and stuffs, Mom!"

Me: "Look at me in the eyes....."
Edie: "Yes, Mumsy dearest???"

Me: (sigh) "Ok....Well, you are mommies little sweetheart, just behave yourself and leave the birds alone"
(me walking away...)
Edie muttering: "Yeah, right, I will do what I want...thats right, keep walking Mom..."

Sooo, yeah, as you can see, Our sweet little kitten has turned into a trouble making teenager.
She is in the trial stage "Hmmm, I wonder what the humans would do if knocked down all these dishes???"
She also loves leaping.
Yes, she is a super duper jumper and likes to show off.
She likes to experiment on what she can jump off of and do it for show.
Her favorite thing is to show you that she can jump from the shower rod to the towel rack to your lap as you are going potty at 2am...
She does her squeaky little meow the whole time that I am pretty sure sounds like "Mommommom MOM are you watching LOOK NOW Mom!"
The other day, I got on the treadmill and started running only to be attacked from above by Edie who had apparently been perching on the 3 inch wide picture frame, awaiting my arrival.
And the treadmill!
Yes, she loves the treadmill. She has learned what button turns it on and she will then jog and play on it anytime she desires now!
She is constantly keeping us entertained and laughing.
Which is something we have needed around here:)
Thank you all for your thoughts and kind words as of late, I can not express what they have meant to me.
I hope you all have a truly wonderful weekend!
PLEEASSSE Let me out!
This lady keeps me trapped in here!
I just want to play with the birdies....

~ Longing for Peace ~
I am sorry for my silence, friends.
I lost My Uncle suddenly.
In the last year, I have lost my Grandfather, a Close and Dear Friend and now My Uncle.
My heart has been heavy and saddened by this weight, especially since the last two losses have been so sudden and quick.
I will be with you soon dear ones, with a more cheerful outlook, but for now I am longing for peace and solace.
You all are never far from my heart.
