On the Farm
All the local farm ground once looked like the above photo.
Before they built the canal systems that brought water from the Snake River to irrigate the ground, it was all rocks and sagebrush here.
But, now we have farms like ours...and here is pics of our farm on the last day of July.
See how things have changed.
The Beans have really gotten big!
The Wheat is nearly ready to harvest
The peas are all dried down and will be harvested as soon as we are done with the second cutting of hay
Speaking of hay
Here is a close up of the Alfalfa Hay we are swathing, it blooms purple flowers that the honey bees love.
